A BEAUTY salon owner is putting her years of experience in the profession to good use by offering a full range of products in her recently opened salon in Ruislip Manor.

Owner Louise Green opened Alfa Beauty at 27 Victoria Road, Ruislip Manor in May this year.

While Louise was growing up in South Africa, she trained with a beauty specialist and worked in her mum's salon.

Returning to Britain, Ms Green worked at a health club in Piccadilly before she worked at the BBC Sports Centre.

Now at Alfa Beauty, Ms Green has used her South African experience to offer a skincare range from the country she grew up in.

The skincare range Environ was developed by Dr Des Fernandes, who studied ageing and skin cancer.

Using his research findings, the South African doctor developed a range of beauty products which includes vitamins to help to protect the skin. Vitamin A, which improves the skin's natural moisturising, gradually increases so the skin gains maximum long term benefits.

Alfa Beauty also offers the Jane Iredale mineral cosmetics range – an American product which is made without preservatives, fragrances or chemical dyes, so is kinder to the skin.

As well as products, various treatments are provided including facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, hair waxing, and electrolysis. Acne sufferers can also be treated for their skin. Staff also use ionzyme equipment to increase the effectiveness of vitamins in the skin.
