Developer appeals against refusal

A DEVELOPER whose application to build flats in place of family homes in Ruislip was refused is appealing against Hillingdon Council's decision.

The council turned down McCarthy and Stone's application in January to demolish numbers 22 to 28 Sharps Lane.

Residents presented a 500 name petition to the council, objecting to the application because they said the development would change the character of the street, cause an increase in traffic and the loss of privacy for neighbours.
