Fire blamed on electrical fault

A FIRE at a car dealership in Hayes is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault on one of its vehicles.

A battery was thought to have caught fire at 4.30am this morning, at Dagenham Motors, in Dawley Road. Although the cost of the damage is not yet known, ten Iveco vans were damaged.

The site is open 24-hours and staff believe it is highly unlikely that vandals would have caused the blaze.
