One of the pioneers of the Pop Art movement in the UK, Eduardo Paolozzi (1924-2005) was best known for his sculptures and kaleidoscopic print projects and described himself as a “wizard in Toytown”.

Now, colourful screen prints by the Scottish artist and sculptor will be on show in Hemel as part of a national tour by Hayward Touring, from the Hayward Gallery, at the Southbank Centre, London.

The free exhibition, General Dynamic F.U.N, is a series of 50 screen prints and photolithographs created between 1965 and 1970.

Here Paolozzi explores and pushes the limits of silkscreen painting, and it is full of pop culture references and technological imagery, featuring household names and familiar faces of consumer advertising, high fashion and Hollywood.

The prints, on show, bear idiosyncratic titles such as Totems and Taboos of the Nine-to-Five Day, Twenty Traumatic Images, and Cary Grant as a Male War Bride.
