Ceramics, glass, art, textiles, wood and sculpture – whatever you have in mind when it comes to decorating your home, you’re sure to find it at the second design fair to be held at Watford’s newly-opened art space in the heart of town, Amanartis.
The Contemporary Interiors, Craft and Design Fair will give you the opportunity to browse and buy beautiful objects for the home, handmade by a collection of talented designers from Watford, St Albans, London and Surrey.
“I hope the public will enjoy the diversity of products the designers will be exhibiting,“ says Amanartis founder Amma Gyan, a jewellery and accessory designer from Watford.
“I'm hoping that the people of Watford will come to know and appreciate the local talent and unique and clever design, as well as feel proud to say that their town has everything including fantastic independent designers.
“And if all this is a little serious, it’s free entry and we have a great café on the day so just come in for a visit, browse and feel inspired!“ Amma opened Amanartis in the Old Free School in the centre of town last autumn as a place for artists and designers to develop their creative business or craft enterprise, and aims three times a year to hold a craft fair for them to showcase and sell their wares.
The next one, fashion-based, will be in the autumn.
“I think the people we have are brilliant, and a lot of them don’t know it so it’s great to support them!“
- The Contemporary Interiors, Craft and Design Fair is at Amanartis, The Old Free School, George Street, Watford on Sunday, April 6 from 11am to 5pm. Details: 07968 783760, facebook.com/Amanartis.studios
