“The community apsect is very important to us,” says Pete. “I’ve run a community choir in Kings Langley and I concert with my trio during the year. Flitting around the world giving it to everyone else it’s nice to come back to play in the local area.”
Pete will also be featuring his exciting new group The London Vocal Project at the event. They recently performed an oratorio written by Pete at the Royal Albert Hall as part of his epic Immigration Festival.
“It’s a support network,” he says. “There are about 20 members and we sing different repertoires including gospel, soul and a jazz/folk crossover. We sing everything from Carole King to James Taylor, Kenny Wheeler and my own arrangements. There’s even some Bulgarian folk music.”
