The stage is set to come alive with woodland creatures next week as a group of budding performers bring a performance of Toad of Toad Hall to Marlow.

Talented pupils and teachers from Great Marlow School are set to perform the classic children’s tale in the new Redgrave Sports Centre on March 17 and 18.

For the very first time, the two classrooms in the new centre will be combined and used as a mini theatre.

The pupils, who are mainly from year 8, have worked hard with producer and director, Jeff Rozelaar, to bring the show to the stage.

Jeff said: "I think they will make their parents very proud with their performance, they've worked very hard."

In true Mr Toad style, the young cast got to sit in two classic motor cars, a Robin Hood 2B and a Caterham R300, in preparation for their performances.

The motor cars were provided by Andrew Carter, a local model engineering enthusiast.

The performances begin at 7pm, on Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18.
