After the End is a modern thriller play by Olivier award winning playwright Dennis Kelly which runs in the Studio at The Questors Theatre from September 30 to October 8.

The original production was seen at the Bush in 2005. Dennis Kelly is also known for Matilda the Musical, DNA, Orphans, and TV shows Utopia (Channel 4), and Pulling (BBC Three).

Set in modern day London, the play is a thriller with macabre humour and disturbing episodes.

In this gripping and intense two-hander Louise, a popular young office worker, awakes to find herself in an underground nuclear fallout shelter.

Mark, a colleague, explains he has rescued her from the carnage created by a nuclear bomb. Luckily, he never got rid of the old shelter in his garden. And he kept it stocked with tinned chilli, Dungeons and Dragons and a knife. Now all they need to do is to wait until it's safe to go outside.

Can they survive the attack? Can they survive each other?

The cast is made up of Lydia King as Louise, and David Hovatter as Mark. Lydia completed 3 years acting training at the Oxford School of Drama in July 2013, and took her solo comedy show "Lydia King: A Date with Density" to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015.

She has been an avid lover of Questors since she joined as a youth group member. David is a long term Questors member who has performed in, directed, and devised many plays over the years.

After the End is suitable for ages 18+.
