The next concert for Hertfordshire Chorus sees the intrepid group heading for Essex to play on the final day of the Thaxted festival this weekend.

The chorus’ programme pays tribute to the festival’s 88 year history with songs such as festival founder Gustav Holt’s Hymn Of Jesus and his friend Vaughan Williams’ Toward the Unknown Region, a song that celebrates the exploration spirit of early 20th Century Britain.

Thaxted Festival takes places in Thaxted Church, near Dunmow, Essex on Sunday, July 13 at 7.30pm.
