Affordable flat back on the market
FIRST time buyers have another chance to apply for a flat at a discounted price after a prospective buyer pulled out.
One of eight flats above Ruislip Manor Library has unexpectedly come back on the market.
Buyers for the flats were chosen in a ballot last month as part of Hillingdon Council's affordable housing scheme.
Under the scheme, buyers pay 70 per cent of the cost, with the council picking up the remainder.
The owner then pays rent to the authority on its portion of the property.
Applicants must have lived in the borough for at least ten years, be aged 18 or above and be first time buyers.
The closing date to apply for the Linden Avenue flat is Friday, May 30.
For more information or to make an application, call Jenny Soanes at the council on 01895 277 308 or email jsoanes@hillingdon.gov.uk.
