Dead man named
A MAN who died in a weir in Denham Country Park on Saturday, May 10, has been named as a 37-year-old from Hillingdon.
Leonard Woodman, of Ryefield Avenue, was pronounced dead after being pulled from the water by the emergency services at around 8pm.
Officers from Thames Valley Police, who took part in the rescue efforts, are not treating the death as suspicious.
Reports suggest Mr Woodman may have been trying to help a teenager when he entered the water.
An inquest has been opened into his death.
