23-year-old woman escapes blaze

A WOMAN escaped a blaze in her second floor flat in Hayes last night.
Firecrews were called to the flat in Holmbury Gardens at 9.15pm.
The 23 year-old woman managed to escape before firefighters arrived and was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
Two fire engines from Hayes tackled the blaze which damaged part of the building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
