'I was very shocked'

RESIDENTS are shocked after hearing a 21-year-old man was stabbed in Cowley.

At 11.30pm last night, a man was found suffering from stab wounds in Cowley Road at the junction with Chiltern View Road.

Police say he remains in a stable condition and his family have been contacted.

Mike Singh, 58, of nearby Chiltern View Road, said: "We did not expect to hear about this. I went upstairs to sleep at around 11pm but I didn't hear anything."

Nash Karbani, 48, who has lived in Chiltern View Road for six years, said he believes this is the first time someone has been stabbed so close to his home.

He said: "I was very shocked to hear about it. I came back off my holiday this morning and my wife told me someone had been stabbed.

"I heard someone was mugged about 18 months ago, but have never heard that anyone was stabbed."

I used to live down there and thought it was such a nice and quiet road, shows what I know. Oh and it was myself and my girlfriend that were mugged down there, literally feet from our front door.
Oh well Hillingdon does have one of the worst crime rates of all London buroughs. I cant wait to leave this hole.
