STAND-UP comedian Brendon Burns appeared at Ruislip's Comedy Bunker in a collaboration with Hillingdon Carers.

The Bunker, started 16 years ago, has played host to some of the biggest names in comedy on the London circuit.

This was the first time that Hillingdon Carers were involved.

Phil Smith, Comedy Bunker promoter, said: β€œIt's a great club that brings London acts to Ruislip and gives an alternative evening out to a Harvester.”

Brendon Burns was not the only entertainment of the night - he shared the stage with Adam Vincent.

Money raised from the night will go towards supporting a counselling service for carers.

Currently, there are more than 23,000 adults and 2-3,000 child carers in Hillingdon, with 55 upwards being the most frequent age of a carer.

Hillingdon Carers rely on fund-raising and donations to support services in the borough, such as counselling, drop-in cafes and activity breaks for Young Carers.

The Bunker often gets involved with charities to help them raise funds. Any other causes interested in a collaboration can contact it via: http://www.comedybunker.co.uk/
