THE deadline for volunteers to join Hillingdon's Local Safeguarding Children Board is this coming Friday (February 15).
The LSCB is responsible for child protection in Hillingdon.
Experienced parents and community members would be welcome to join the board and become the voice of the community.
Board members will be asked to attend and contribute regularly at quarterly LSCB meetings.
Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services, Cllr David Simmonds, said: "Our volunteers have an important role on the board and this is a challenging, yet very rewarding opportunity to ensure the welfare of Hillingdon's children.
“We would like to hear from anyone in the community with an interest in this important work and encourage them to get involved in shaping the future for children and young people in the borough."
