Hillingdon youth groups celebrate donations to keep up their good work
TWO Hillingdon services for young people have received donations to put towards community projects.
SKIDZ and West Drayton’s Young People’s Centre received grants of £,5000 and £500 respectively.
The donations were awarded by SEGRO, an owner, asset manager and developer of modern warehousing, at an event at West Drayton’s Young People’s Centre.
Neil Impiazzi, Partnerships Development Manager at SEGRO said: “Both agencies deserve plaudits for the outstanding work they are doing in the community.”
SKIDZ, which offers workshops and support for young road users, plans to put the £5,000 towards its new out-of-school-hours BIKE’ cycle maintenance and GEARZ road user education programmes.
West Drayton YPC will put its donation towards new equipment and activities.
The club provides activities, such as music production classes and cooking workshops, to those aged 11-19.
