CHILDREN are introducing a splash of colour into Northwood Hills town centre with the help of two mural artists.

Artists Cosmo Sarson and Gordon Collett created a mural to go on the bridge at Northwood Hills station after working with the children, who researched the town’s heritage.

Students from six primary schools were present for a sneak preview at Northwood Hills library last week. The final design should be completed by Easter.

Cllr Douglas Mills, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: "The result of this exciting project will be a unique and lasting landmark for Northwood Hills which will bring new life and add character to Joel Street.”

The mural was commissioned as part of the borough's plan to regenerate high streets in Hayes, Ruislip Manor and Northwood Hills, with those three receiving major investment over the last three years.

Residents can view the artwork preview at Northwood Hills library until February 3.
