HILLINGDON people are invited to step back in time with an evening of floral demonstrations showcasing styles from the 50s through to modern day.
The Flower Power event, presented by the borough’s adult learning team, will take place on Thursday, July 3, at Ruislip Manor Library, 7-9pm.
The floristry team will demonstrate how to create the perfect displays from the funky 50s, swinging 60s, psychedelic 70s, glamorous 80s and raving 90s right through to today’s clean, simplistic designs.
Pauline Nixon, interim head of education at the Hillingdon Council, said: “This promises to be a fun-filled evening for anyone with an interest in flower arranging.
“Whether you are an experienced florist or budding beginner, it may even inspire you to take up one of our floristry courses.”
The cost per ticket is £5, which includes light refreshments. To book a place, call Jane on 0208 384 4170.
