BOLLYWOOD dancer Jay Kumar and the JK Krew brought World Cup fever to Hillingdon Hospital when he performed his song World Cup Vibe before flying out to Brazil.

Jay, a Bollywood dance choreographer, brought a smile to children’s faces on Peter Pan Ward with his samba beats.

Vocals on the song were provided by former Soul to Soul singer Melissa Bell, who supported the project to, in her words, “get the word dancing to the samba beat”, despite receiving daily treatment on a kidney dialysis machine.

Jay is no stranger to World Cup tunes, having previously written It’s the Time for England in 2006.

He said: “I’m flying out on Monday with my son and hoping to get some dance slots in between watching the matches. It’s going to be amazing because the Brazilians love football and love dancing, just like me.”

The video of the song includes Hillingdon Hospital’s own Indie Kaur, a divisional finance manager, who is also a student at one of Jay’s Bollywood dance classes.
