PEOPLE in Hillingdon are invited to a public meeting on Wednesday, July 23, by the new group tasked with commissioning the borough’s health care and treatment.
The quarterly event aims to keep them informed of what is happening in their local NHS, including improvements to mental health care in the community and future plans for more integrated health and social care.
You can have a say on how the Hillingdon Clinical Commissioning Group can give people more control over their health and wellbeing.
CCGs, largely made up of cluster of GP practices, are at the centre of the present government’s reorganisation of the NHS.
Dr Ian Goodman, chair of Hillingdon CCG, said: “We have achieved a lot in our first year. We have improved urgent care and planned care, implemented new night carers to support patients at home, undertaken Friends and Family pilot tests for musculo-skeletal and mental health services and an end-of-life service that helps provide flexible and responsive support to patients in their preferred place of care.”
The evening will start with a short presentation on the latest developments at NHS Hillingdon before opening the floor to discussion.
The meeting is from 7.30-9pm at Mount Vernon Hospital Postgraduate Centre, Rickmanworth Road, Northwood.
