AN English artist living in Turkey is appealing for readers’ help on a project he is undertaking about the Rolling Stones.
Part of the artwork collection he is creating on the life and times of the Stones features the crests of schools they attended.
One of those schools, attended by Ronnie Wood, who hailed originally from West Drayton, is the former Evelyns Secondary School in Yiewsley. “I have tried the local library but they can't help me,” said Neil Davies. “I have even tried Google and yahoo images and I'm drawing a blank all of the time.”
He hopes a Times reader, possibly a former Evelyns pupil, has a reproduction of the school crest or an old photograph which shows it.
“Anything would be a help,” said Neil, who attached scans of some of his watercolour paintings and limited edition prints for readers to judge the quality of his work.
