ST Helen’s Girls School in Northwood is celebrating outstanding A-level results this year.
The percentage of grades awarded at A* is 24% (up from last year’s 22%) and the overall percentage of A*- B grades is an excellent 85%.
Three girls achieved four A* grades and a further seven had three straight A* grades. The A-level pass rate is 100%.
Dr Mary Short, headmistress, said: “I am particularly pleased the grades awarded will enable the girls to study the best courses at outstanding universities and would like to congratulate all our pupils - and their supportive parents - and wish Year 13 all the best for transition to higher education.”
Ciara Norris was among the pupils who achieved four A* grades and is going to Cambridge to read engineering.
Her ultimate goal is to specialise in the design and construction of bridges and she will be spending some of the next year working on such projects at Arup.
