CELEBRITIES like David Tennant and Jonathon Ross have been helping in the bid to find a missing schoolgirl from Hanwell, aged 14.

They have been re-tweeting appeals to their followers as police grow increasingly concerned for the welfare of Alice Gross.

She was last seen at 1pm last Thursday when she left her home.

She told her family she would be home later that evening but has not been seen since.

She is described as white, 5ft 2in tall, of slim build with shoulder-length light brown hair.

Alice was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, a dark green lacy cardigan and blue denim 'Vans' shoes.

Officers say they are particularly concerned as she has not been in good health.

Officers are conducting searches and house-to-house enquiries in the Hanwell area, though a huge poster appeal has been widened to neighbouring boroughs.

TV stations have also been broadcasting news of Alice’s disappearance.

Anyone who has seen her or has information that may help the investigation should call officers from Ealing Missing Persons Unit on 020 8246 1018 or 101.

Alternatively, call the charity Missing People on 116000.
