FIVE brave challengers got down and dirty and took on the Nuts Challenge 7K, 100-obstacle assault course in the mud last weekend, in aid of Michael Sobell Hospice, Northwood.

They raised more than £5,400 between them.

Terry and Lisa Spitz, from Northwood, Robert Pepper, from Pinner, Paul Kaye, from Eastcote, and Wil Adams, of Rickmansworth, put on their oldest kit and took off to the muddy parts of Dorking to take on the military-style assault course, designed to push contestants to their absolute limit.

Obstacles on the course included Hell River, Tunnel Rats, Kamikaze, Apocalypse Now and Hamburger Hill.

Terry said: “It was a real challenge, with great camaraderie and all for a great cause!”

Wil said: “We lost my mother-in law, Karen Williams, on August 4 and wanted to help support the amazing team at Michael Sobell who helped her through the final four years of her life.

“As far as my family are concerned, MSH perform miracles on a daily basis.”
