RICHARD SUMRAY is the new chair of Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust.
He was previously chief executive of London International Sport and more recently has been chair of the London 2012 Forum, working with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games.
He also has extensive experience and contacts within the NHS. A magistrate since 1984, for more than 20 years has been a chair of youth and family proceedings courts in inner London.
Mr Sumray will to take up the three-year appointment on November 1. He takes over from James Reid who been interim chair since March.
Also joining the board is non-executive director Richard Whittington, a chartered accountant, who and spent more than 30 years with KPMG..
He is currently chair of a high-tech business in the neuro-science field.
He succeeds Craig Rowland, who retires after two terms.
