BI-LINGUAL Hillingdon people are being asked to put their language skills to good use.
Paid community interpreters are needed for schools, hospitals, social services and health care practices, to help those in the community who have limited English speaking skills.
With more than 104 different languages spoken in the borough, residents with another language can act as a bridge between non speakers of English and the wider community.
The Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting course equips learners with language skills in both their first language and English and helps them learn how to translate effectively from one language to another.
The course starts in January and runs for 19 weeks from South Ruislip Adult Learning Centre.
