TV CHEF and award-winning author Manju Malhi treated customers to an array of dishes cooked live at the Tesco Extra Bull’s Bridge store at Hayes at the weekend.
Manju, who has appeared on BBC cookery shows, as well as on ITV, Sky One and Channel 5, served shoppers Indian-inspired foods, created exclusively for Tesco customers.
Customers gathered to watch as Manju used ingredients from in store to create a number of recipes, including malabar king prawn curry, chicken jalfrezi and spiced sweet potatoes.
Manju said: “I’ve been lucky enough to cook in countries across the world, but doing the demo at the store in Hayes was extra special because I’m from Hillingdon.”
The demonstrations were followed by a family day on Sunday when children got the chance to meet TV favourites Captain Barnacles and Kwazii from the Octonauts.
