OLDER Hillingdon residents whose Freedom Passes will expire on March 31 next year are being reminded they will need to renew their pass.
The Freedom Pass allows older residents to travel on public transport for free across the capital, as well as on bus services throughout England at certain times.
Residents whose pass is about to expire will receive a letter from London Councils with a unique renewal number and instructions on how to renew their pass.
Pass holders are being encouraged to renew online, which is a straightforward process and only takes a few minutes.
Anyone who is unable to renew online can return the form enclosed with their letter by post.
Cllr Philip Corthorne, Hillingdon cabinet member for social services, said: βIt's important that our older residents stay active and the freedom pass provides free travel on almost all public transport in London.β
