Minor injuries unit: cuts and grazes and more besides
THE Minor Injuries Unit at Mount Vernon Hospital has extended its opening hours from 8am to 9pm.
The unit treated more than 24,000 people last year for a range of minor injuries including cuts and grazes, minor burns, insect bites, minor eye problems and head injuries that where there has been no loss of consciousness or vomiting.
The MIU is now open seven days a week from 8am-9pm, except Christmas Day.
