HEARD the one about the computer that can tell jokes? It’s not as odd as it might seem.
There will be a chance to use The Joking Computer, software that can build millions of jokes, at an event organised by the Centre for Comedy Studies Research at Brunel University, Uxbridge, on Friday, November 21, 4-7pm.
To what extent is humour a feature of being human? Do we learn to be humorous or is it something we are born with? Do animals have a sense of humour? Do animals find other animals humorous?
Feeling Funny, Being Human, event will explore these questions from a number of different engaging perspectives. There will also be a comedy improvisation performance by the Funny Women Players, based on suggestions from the audience.
Admission is free, but booking is required for the event at the Antonin Artaud Theatre in Kingston Lane.
