COLHAM Manor Primary School in Violet Avenue, Hillingdon, has received a donation of vital life-saving equipment.
The school was keen to place a defibrillator in the school after supporting the national cardiac charity, SADS UK, in its Big Shock campaign,.
Staff understand how important it is to provide an early response when a person suffers a cardiac arrest.
Defibrillator training from the London Ambulance Service will begin this week.
The equipment works to restore the heart rhythm if a person goes into cardiac arrest, and the earlier a defibrillator is used the better the chance of survival.
The defibrillator at Colham Manor is easy to use as there are voice prompts to the rescuer.
Dame Helen Mirren heads the charity’s campaign, calling for defibrillators to be placed in all schools.
