UXBRIDGE staff from snacks firm Mondelēz International have been busy giving back to their local community as part of Global Volunteer Month.

It’s a campaign in which more than 350 UK employees spent more than 2,000 hours supporting their communities during October. It’s now in its second year.

The Mondelez legal team took half a day out to host a Ready for Work club for young job seekers in the area, using their skills and expertise to support them with CV and interview skills.

Members of the UK&I Leadership team also gave up their time to clear raised beds for Disablement Association Hillingdon (DASH), a charity that supports people with disabilities.

The corporate affairs team also helped DASH run a bingo session for who have learning and physical disabilities.

Louise Ayling, of Mondelēz, said: “We believe our employees can play a key role in our communities, and this year it has been great to see so many colleagues get involved and show their support.”

Mondelez, in Sanderson Road, makes Cadbury’s chocolate, Jacob’s coffee and Oreo biscuits among its snacks range.
