A HAYES man makes his professional debut tomorrow as LDN Wrestling comes to Featherstone Sports Centre in Southall as part of a nationwide tour.

Billy Clarke, 21, who has been learning the ropes under LDN British champion Alan Lee Travis, will be taking on LDN Capital Champion, the Duke of London Jonathan Hardwick.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, LDN blends the glitz and glamour of American sport with traditional British wrestling.

“I’m really excited,” said Clarke. “I’ve learnt from the bottom and have been working my way up. I started as a referee and now I’m gaining experience as a wrestler. This is such a big opportunity.”

The card will also feature some of the country's top grapplers, including the mysterious Dark Lord.

"It's always an honour to defend the LDN title in front of our great fans," said Travis, head coach at LDN's training schools.

"I'm looking forward to getting to Southall and giving them a match to remember.”

Dark Lord, the self-professed sadistic, violent man of mystery, added: "I've wrestled all around the world and came to LDN because I've heard this is where the real competition is.

"Forget about beating me, there's nobody who can even last five minutes in the ring with me and it's going to be no different at Featherstone Sports Centre. If my opponent has any brains, he won't even turn up.”
