ST HELEN’S Girls’ School in Northwood is celebrating this week as nine of its students have received offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge.
This is the best result for the School in more than 20 years, with 14% of Year 13 having successfully written persuasive applications, faced the notoriously tough interview process and, in some cases, even passed additional examinations to achieve these offers.
More than half who applied for Oxbridge had offers.
Entry criteria are notoriously tough and UCAS applications must stand out even before the interview process to progress to the next stage.
St Helen’s provides additional support for those wishing to apply across a wide range of subjects, which this year have included applications for Law, Natural Sciences, Human Sciences, Music, Classical Archaeology & Ancient History, Medicine and Biological Sciences.
