A MURDER investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Hillingdon.
Police were called at approx 11am on Friday to reports of a woman injured at a house in Collingwood Road, Hillingdon.
An ambulance crew also attended and the woman, believed to be 42, was found suffering stab injuries. She did around an hour later.
Her family has been informed but formal identification is yet to take place.
A post-mortem examination will follow.
A man, aged 35, was arrested in Hayes a short while later on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a West London police station.
