BOXER George Groves's fitness trainer will be appearing at Botwell Leisure Centre’s junior open day in Hayes on April 12.
Former Royal Marine PT instructor Barry O’Connell will help the centre’s aim of opening pathways for talented young athletes and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
The initiative is the latest in GLL Sports Foundation’s year-long effort to promote activity in Hayes, currently one of the most inactive wards in Hillingdon.
The open day will run all afternoon, kicking off with two one-hour sessions from QPR Soccer School as part of its partnership to develop grass roots football.
A passion dance class and junior gym workout will run alongside the soccer school and will be followed by an hour of karate.
The day will conclude with multi-sport activities and free ice cream.
All activities cost £1.
