THERE is still time to sign up for the fifth annual Michael Sobell Hospice Ladies in the Night Walk, sponsored by Savills estate agents, on Friday, June 12, at 10pm.

It is the biggest event in the hospice’s fund-raising calendar. There are already around 1,000 walkers signed up and the hospice hopes to beat its fund-raising target of £80,000.

Walkers can choose from either a 5.5 or 9-mile route, which starts and ends at the hospice in Northwood.

The event will start with a fun Zumba warm-up session on the lawn, followed by a moonlit walk, with live entertainment along the route, before returning to the hospice for breakfast.

Men, women and pooches are encouraged to dress in pink, with flashing headgear and accessories.

Many of those taking part are walking in memory of loved ones, have a close connection to the hospice or simply just want to support a great cause.

You can register online at www.michaelsobellhospice.co.uk Registration before June 5 costs £20, which includes a T-shirt, fund-raising pack and breakfast or you can sign up on the night for £25.

More details can also be found on the website or call the fund-raising office on 01923 844152. Walkers are asked to raise sponsorship for this event.

Michael Sobell Hospice needs to raise £1.6m this year to maintain its current level of patient care.
