A DOG welfare charity in Uxbridge is appealing to dog lovers to help find homes furever for five pooches promising to be pawfect company.

The charming dogs are being looked after by the Dogs Trust Harefield, who are asking people to open their hearts and homes to the homeless hounds.

The dogs are barking for Ealing residents to get to know their pawsome personalities and will make sure their rescuers never have a ruff day.

Sian Fairlie, a Dogs Trust Harefield supporter, said: “They are all fantastic characters who will make fantastic additions to loving families in the right homes.”

The Hillingdon Times introduces the dogs that vow to give their new owners a new leash of life…

Miss Piggy: A 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves belly rubs and cuddles. She is at her happiest when surrounded by her favourite people, so would love a cosy home where she can snooze away on the sofa beside her devoted new owners. Miss Piggy likes peace and quiet and would like to be the only dog in the home.

Mickey: A three-year-old Lurcher who revels in having attention and playing with other dogs. He enjoys walks followed by a snuggle on the sofa. He is looking for owners that love a cuddle and have time to give him some extra training. Mickey would love to have some wooftastic friends so that he can play with them at home and he can live with children aged 11 or over.

Belle: A 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is always delighted to meet new people and dogs. Belle enjoys nothing more than chasing tennis balls and already knows quite a few commands. She is old and wise and would love a home where she can enjoy walks, food and lots of hugs.

Diego: A handsome two-year-old crossbreed who has had a difficult start in life. He can be a little wary of men he does not know, therefore needs patient and kind owners to help him settle in to the family. Diego enjoys playing a game of chase with other dogs and is looking for a home that can give him the love he deserves.

Onyx: A friendly, eight-year-old ex-racing Greyhound who is looking for a peaceful home where he can enjoy his twilight years. He loves making new friends and chasing his favourite ball around the park. Onyx is best suited to an experienced dog owner, with no small furry pets, who can keep him on his paws with plenty of playtime and affection.
