Schoolchildren visited Namibia, Antarctica and the International Space Station – all in one day.
Pupils at Maple Cross, Arnetts Hill and Little Green Junior School were visited by Google last week, who took the children all over the world via virtual reality headsets.
To tie in with their topics, years three and four went to a tropical rainforest and ancient Greece, while years five and six took a tour of a Lancaster bomber and a desert in Africa.
The children also went to prehistoric earth, the Galapagos Islands and the solar system.
Nick Flint, a teacher at Maple Cross, said: “At Maple Cross we strive to find innovative ways of bringing children's learning to life.
“For many of our children, this was their first experience of virtual reality and it was wonderful to see them so engaged, excited and brimming with questions about what they were seeing."
