Three new officers have joined the Bushey and Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team.

PC Ailsa Turnbull and PCSOs Leon James and Mohammed Hussain have recently joined the Bushey and Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team.

PC Turnbull will be covering Radlett (Aldenham West), while PCSO Leon James will be covering North Bushey with PCSO Mohammed Hussain.

The officers are working with Hertfordshire County Council, Highways and Hertsmere Borough Council to solve local problems.

PC Turnbull, who has previously worked as an intervention officer and as a detective, said: “I was ready for a new challenge with more interaction with members of the public.

"I enjoy community based policing and I enjoy having responsibility for an area.

“Radlett has a diverse community and I’m enjoying helping to resolve problems working closely with our partner agencies.”

Sergeant Iain Brunt, who leads the team, said: “I’m very pleased to welcome the new officers to the team.

"They come from different backgrounds with different experience and I know they will all be an asset to the residents of Bushey and Radlett.

“If you have problems with anti-social behaviour or would like to speak to an officer about any quality of life issues, please make contact with them.”

PCOS James and Hussain run regular beat surgeries in North Bushey where locals are given the opportunity to speak with officers regarding any policing issues.

The next one will be held at the Royal British Legion Club at on February 20 at 2pm.
