Residents and neighbours of Colne Valley Regional Park are being invited to find out more about a Heritage Lottery Funded Landscape Partnership Scheme bid.

The bid is seeking to secure £2m for local heritage and environmental projects.

Ewa Prokop, programme manager, said: “It would be great if local people could take a few minutes to visit a display outlining the 21 projects forming part of the Scheme and then to chat to me about them.

“The Colne Valley Landscape Partnership, which has been set up to progress the projects and bid, is keen to hear people’s views.”

Rob Rees, chair of the Colne Valley Landscape Partnership, said: “The Heritage Lottery Fund was impressed by earlier comments received from local people expressing support for the proposed Scheme and we are really grateful to everybody of this.

“It has spurred us on to develop the proposals further.

“We will be issuing an on-line survey over April 2017 which will give people a chance to help shape the detail of the Colne Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme.”

13 drop-in opportunities have been organised at local libraries, festivals, country parks, museums and village halls and will take place from April to August 2017.
