People wanting to vote in the elections on May 4, must register online before April 13.
You can register to vote, apply for a postal vote or update your details by contacting your local district or borough council.
Since the last election there have been changes to some of the areas that councillors represent. This includes an extra division and changes to the names and boundaries of some divisions. All 78 seats will be up for election.
Information about the elections and how the boundaries and names of divisions have changed are available online.
