Man launches shocking attack on Good Samaritan for waking him at wrong stop

A student has been jailed for a year after violently attacking a man who "made him look stupid” by waking him up at the wrong train station.

Sam Pearce, of Rickmansworth Road, Pinner, hurled film maker Benjamin Kerr out of a carriage after the train had stopped at Luton's Parkway Station, at about 1.30am on June, 17 2015.

The 24-year-old, who was on a degree course in Bedford, was then caught on CCTV punching Mr Kerr multiple times in the head and kicking him in the chest, which broke his nose.

Doctor who ran illegal money making business at hospital in Harrow ordered to pay back half a million pounds

A loan shark who “preyed” on colleagues while working as a doctor at a hospital in Harrow has been ordered to pay back half a million pounds.

Dr Arjan Damjibhai Savani, of St Paul’s Avenue, in Kenton, was fined £525,000 during a hearing at Harrow Crown Court, in Hailsham Drive, today (Friday, March 17).

He must pay the money within three months or face a five year prison sentence.

School closed after 'partially collapsed' chalk mine discovered

A primary school has closed after a “partially collapsed” chalk mine was discovered underneath.

Pinner Wood School, in Latimer Gardens, Pinner, was shut down today by Harrow Council after “shocked” staff and children were deemed to be at risk.

Geotechnical surveys undertaken by Peter Brett Associates and partner Clive Edmonds showed the ground beneath the school buildings and playgrounds could become unstable and unsafe, due to the condition of very recently discovered chalk mine tunnels below.

New school opens with a burst of colour

Pupils marked the opening of a new school with an explosion of colour.

Priestmead School, in Hartford Avenue, Harrow, was opened by Mayor of Harrow, cllr Rekha Shah, on Monday, March 13.

The old red bricks and 1930s style building are gone and instead there will be an improved play area, larger classrooms and a community hall.

Mayor Of London Sadiq Khan promises to take knife crime in Harrow ‘extremely seriously’

The Mayor of London has given assurances that he is taking serious youth violence and knife crime in the borough “extremely seriously”.

GLA member for Harrow Navin Shah wrote a letter to Sadiq Khan earlier this month after being concerned by the number of fatal stabbings in Harrow and Brent this year.
