Doughnuts, flowers and cherry Bakewell tarts are among the gifts to police officers after the Westminster attack.
Members of the public up and down the country have been thanking police officers for their work following the death of PC Keith Palmer on Wednesday.
The 48-year-old husband and father was stabbed to death outside Parliament by Khalid Masood in a terror attack which saw four other civilians lose their lives.
Harrow Metropolitan Service shared a picture on Twitter of a card officers received from a “very appreciative” cab driver while they were patrolling around Westminster on Friday, March 24.
The card read: “Just wanted to say thank you to the Metropolitan Police for doing their best and for keeping us safe.
“They don’t get the praise or recognition at times for the fantastic work they do.”
