Four builders have been rescued from a dangerous building.
The roof of a three-storey terraced property on High Street, Bushey at 2.07pm.
Another six people were evacuated from the courtyard of the property, which had been empty since 2002.
Another six people were reportedly in the courtyard at the time of the collapse.
Tweens Pharmacy employee Ranju Vedagarbha, 27, said: "I left the building to get some food and when I came back the road was full of dusty fog.
"It was all coming from a small hole beneath the door of the property.
"I got back to work and we heard a noise, but we had no idea what had happened."
Tweens Pharmacy owner Raj Pandya said: "We heard a lot of noise, but at first we thought it was a fight in the street.
"We have around 100 prescriptions that need to dispense and this is putting people's lives at risk.
"I am worried that our building is now also in danger as it is connected."
An ambulance was called to the property and the four victims were said to have been taken to hospital for minor injuries.
The structure that has been damaged appears to be 10x20m in size.

It is said that the property had recently been bought from its previous owner and was to be opened as a cycling shop.
It is not known why the roof collapsed.
The High Street is expected to be closed for another 24 hours while authorities wait for a structural engineer to make sure that the building is secure.
