Further to the arguments about appropriateness of such a high-rise build being totally out of character with the street scene, has any thought been given to the potential effect upon our water supply?

Indeed, Affinity Water relies upon aquifers.
Would the 23-storey building with its deep foundations and enormous weight interfere with the aquifer?
Readers will recall that the security of the aquifer is a major factor in the construction of the Croxley Rail Link/MLX.
Ascot Road is part of the MLX viaduct construction and affects the Ascot Road aquifer.
