The Pinner Association have donated £1,000 to Harrow Foodbank to help cover the costs of running their operation.
The centre has to pay commercial rent for its warehouse, and relies on volunteers using their own vehicles to collect food donations from local supermarkets.
Harrow Foodbank operates two centres, one in Wealdstone and one in South Harrow to distribute food.
The organisation is part of the Trussell Trust, which helps run foodbanks across the country.
