More than 700 charity strollers raised in excess of £50,000 for Peace Hospice Care at its first ever NightLight Walk.

The 5k route, which meandered through Cassiobury Park on Saturday, July 8, transformed the area into a magical wonderland featuring a snow zone and bubble boulevard.

All participants were given a lantern which, at the end of the walk, they placed in a display to create a light sculpture representing the care given by the hospice to the local community.

Ropinder Gill, director of fundraising at Peace Hospice Care, said: “We are thrilled that our first NightLight Walk was such a success.

“We wanted to create an event that everyone could enjoy, but also an event that gave those that who part a chance to remember their loved ones and the memories they shared.

“We think we did that – our thanks to DLL Financial Solutions for their support with the event and to everyone who took part.”

Peace Hospice Care provides free specialist support for people and their families facing a life-limiting illness across the Hertfordshire community.
