A casualty was taken to hospital with burns following a house fire in Watford.
Fire crews from Watford and Rickmansworth were called to reports of a fire on the first floor of a mid-terrace house in Whippendell Road at around 1pm yesterday (Tuesday).
All persons were accounted for when they arrived but there were two casualties, who were treated by paramedics.
One casualty was rushed to Watford General Hospital having been burnt in the blaze.
Firefighters used hose reels and a water jet to quickly tackle the fire, which is believed to have been caused accidentally.
