Watford will play host to the county’s first ever MathsJam next week.

A MathsJam is an evening where people who like maths, or at least some aspects of it, meet in a pub to tackle puzzles, do card tricks, construct shapes from paper and generally play with maths.

Watford’s MathsJam, which will take place on Tuesday, August 22 at 7pm, is the first to be held outside of a major city.

Similar events will be held at the same time in London, Bath and Cambridge.

Watford's will take place at the White Lion pub in St Albans Road.

Anyone over 18 years of age is welcome to join in – it is free, apart from anything bought from the pub.
